Terms of Service

For the purposes of these Terms:

• “App” means the Mama+Care mobile application and related digital services
• “Content” means all educational materials, text, graphics, videos, notifications, and resources provided through the App
• “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the App
• “Services” means all features provided through the App, including health education, reminders, and informational tools

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Mama+Care App. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the App immediately.

Mama+Care is a digital maternal and child health support platform designed to improve health awareness and access to information.

The Services include:

• General maternal and child health educational content
• Developmental, wellness, and health-related reminders
• Informational tools intended to support informed caregiving decisions

The App is designed for informational and educational purposes only and does not provide clinical services.

The Content provided through Mama+Care is for general informational and educational purposes only.

• Mama+Care does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• The App does not establish a doctor–patient relationship
• Content must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

Users are strongly advised to consult qualified healthcare professionals for any medical concerns or conditions.

Mama+Care is not intended for use in medical emergencies.

In the event of urgent symptoms (including but not limited to severe pain, heavy bleeding, difficulty breathing, or high fever), users must seek immediate medical attention from the nearest healthcare facility or emergency service provider.

Users agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful and intended purposes
• Provide accurate information where input is required
• Exercise independent judgment when using Content
• Seek professional healthcare advice when appropriate
• Avoid misuse, misrepresentation, or manipulation of the App

Users must not:

• Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Misrepresent the App as a clinical, diagnostic, or emergency service
• Attempt to interfere with the App's security, integrity, or functionality
• Reverse engineer, copy, or distribute App content without authorization
• Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content

All Content, branding, design, and materials within the App are the property of Mama+Care or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

Content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only unless explicitly authorised in writing.

The App may integrate or rely on third-party services (including infrastructure, analytics, or messaging providers).

Mama+Care does not control and is not responsible for third-party content or services. Such services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Use of the App is subject to the Mama+Care Privacy Policy.

By using the App, you acknowledge that:

• The App may process non-identifiable usage and health-related contextual data
• Aggregated and anonymised data may be used to improve services and support public health and research initiatives

Mama+Care does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the App.

The App may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time for operational, technical, or maintenance reasons.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Mama+Care makes no warranties or representations regarding:

• Accuracy or completeness of Content
• Reliability or availability of the App
• Suitability for any specific purpose

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mama+Care shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use the App
• Reliance on Content provided through the App
• Health-related decisions made by Users
• Delays in seeking professional medical care
• Technical failures or interruptions

Users assume full responsibility for their use of the App and any decisions made based on its Content.

Mama+Care does not guarantee any specific health, behavioural, or developmental outcomes resulting from the use of the App.

The App is intended solely to support awareness, education, and informed decision-making.

Mama+Care may introduce new features over time, including interactive tools or automated informational systems.

All future features will remain subject to these Terms and will continue to serve an informational and supportive function only, not a clinical or diagnostic purpose.

Mama+Care reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the App where necessary, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Misuse of the App
• Security or integrity risks
• Legal or regulatory requirements

Such actions will be taken where reasonably necessary to protect the Platform and its users.

Mama+Care may update these Terms from time to time.

Where material changes are made, reasonable notice may be provided within the App or via other communication channels.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Namibian courts.
